Ceiling cloth hangers are a clever space-saving solution for urban apartments where balcony space is limited and the floor area cannot accommodate a standing clothes drying rack. Mounted directly to the ceiling slab, these systems use parallel hanging rods suspended from SS ceiling brackets, providing multiple parallel drying lines within the ceiling height of the balcony or utility room without occupying any floor space.

The most durable ceiling cloth hanger systems use 16mm SS 304 pipe rods suspended from ceiling-mounted brackets on SS wire or chain at the correct height for comfortable loading and unloading. The rods can be fixed at a consistent height or adjustable, and can be pulled closer to the ceiling when not in use to maximise headroom in small spaces.

Ceiling cloth hangers are particularly effective in utility rooms, enclosed balconies, and bathrooms where the ceiling height and mechanical ventilation or natural airflow can be utilised to accelerate drying. The system has no moving parts, requires no electricity, and can carry the full wet load of a washing machine cycle — typically 5–8kg — without any flex or movement.
